Richard Dawkins in NZ, and propaganda emerges

We’ve all heard the stories about Ray Comfort’s ‘Way of the Master’ ministry distributing copies of ‘The Origin of Species’ with a 50-page preface, and certain sections removed in the US, but I never thought I’d see it in New Zealand.
Over the last few days Comfort’s minions have distributed copies of their modified version of Darwin’s seminal work to university students on campuses around the country.
As I am attending both Wellington and Christchurch Dawkins’ presentations, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this 50-page preface to see what it contains, although ‘beliefnet’ sums it up as…
“Among his challenges are the common ad hominem attacks against Darwin: accusing him of being a racist and sexist; assertions that Darwin’s theory is directly responsible for eugenics, euthanasia, infanticide, and Hitler’s philosophy; claims about the lack of transitional fossils; claims that DNA and other complex biological structures could not possibly have emerged via evolution; and even the claim that evolution violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics. He also implies that one must reject evolution to be a good Christian.”
Now apart from the usual (and disproven) arguments against evolution, he is effectively trying to radicalize moderate sensible Christians into full-on creationists. This is crazy! Even the ultra-conservative VATICAN has acknowledged that evolution is no longer a theory, and that they accept evolution. How conservative and fundamentalist can you get?
I think Ray Comfort and his Way of the Master ministry is the Christian equivalent of Al Qaeda! Sure, they haven’t killed anyone to date and aren’t proponents of terrorism, but they are attempting to turn moderate believers into illogical prosetylizers.
I hope to debate one at one of the Dawkins events! see you there – we’ll have audio and video on this site on Friday of the event.
